I have loved photography since high school. When digital technology came out, could not wait to get a new camera. Once I did, there was no ending to the number of pictures I would take in one sitting. My Dad, as well as others, had always encouraged me to do something with my photos. I always just enjoyed them for myself. Then my Dad suddenly passed in April 2008. He is no longer here to encourage me, but I know he is watching over me, so I decided to launch my website for others to enjoy my images. Vicky, I bought this for my son who has had a love of spiders and insects from an early age. I tried to discourage him from this at first because I really hated spiders but after a while I learned to appreciate their uniqueness. I can't wait to see the look on his face when he sees this hanging in his room! However, I hope that I will never see a real one in there!! :)

I know what you mean! I have arachnophobia, but can't seem to resist photographing them. I actually tremble as I am shooting. So, getting clear pics can be difficult :o) And, if I had any spider artwork hanging in my house, I would have nightmares! Your son is a brave soul :o)

Thanks to the collector in Garfield Heights, OH for your purchase! You must like arachnids; I see you purchased other great prints!

Nice work of this spider! It's actually a brown widow. A positive ID is the egg sac, spherical with protrusions, kind of like a blown up puffer fish :) We have lots of them in my barn :0
DigiArt Diaries by Vicky B Fuller replied:
Thanks! Yes, the egg sac did look like that! And, I didn't know there were different types of Widows. I am correcting my ID now!
