Description
A pretty moth, but not knowing what type this was until I googled it, I was stunned to finally find out what used to get into our squirrels around here. I thought the squirrels had tumors or something, and one day I saw something fall out of the skin of the squirrel. I now know it was a spiney oakworm pupa. We used to have a large oak tree right out in the front of the house. So, these pupa somehow embedded there way under the skin of many of the squirrels. How weird is that?
